The Barrington Farmers Market was started in 2000 by the Barrington Village Association (BVA), a homeowner’s group made up of residents living in the downtown Village area. With the motto “Bringing Neighbors Together”, the Barrington Village Association has run the market with the objective of building community, adding to the character of our historic Village and increasing foot traffic in the downtown area.
With great locally grown food & products and community involvement, the Farmers Market has turned out to be” the place to be” on Thursday during the summer & fall months.
Barrington residents are committed to charitable giving and in keeping with this community value, we offer a free non-profit booth at each market to keep guests up to date on happenings and ways to get involved.
The Barrington Farmers Market is managed by volunteers but is also assisted by the Village itself. Special thanks goes out to the Village of Barrington Public Works and Police Department. Our Farmers Market is a true “It takes a Village” project at work!
We hope you will join us on Thursdays for all the fun, community and great food!
